The Word is love

Lord, let your mercy be on us, as we place our trust in you. Psalm 33:22

Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life.”
John 14:6a

The way is love.

Love is the truth we serve.

Love is how we make our lives reflect the image of the One who loved us first.

Abundant life

Set of thirteen select slides of shepherd life, illustrating the Twenty Third Psalm. “He restoreth my soul”

The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want. Psalm 23:1

God is in charge. As I listen to the voice of the Good Shepherd, I know that everything I need shall be provided.

Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” John 20:19

Peace in this time of uncertainty. Peace in our hearts. Peace in our words. Peace in our actions.

Breathe peace.

To comfort

When Jesus arrived, he found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days. Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, only about two miles away. And many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary to comfort them about their brother. John 11:17-19

There is a tremendous sorrow in our world right now. We need each other’s love and compassion. We need to comfort one another.

Today I will offer comfort to someone in need.

I fear no evil

The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want. Psalm 23:1

May my heart reflect and bless the world with the goodness and love that is my birthright.

May I live as a child of the Light and produce every kind of goodness and love.

May the Lord open my eyes that I may see goodness and love in everyone I encounter.

“Is the LORD in our midst or not?” Exodus 17:7

To believe in God is to know God is present with us always.

God is in charge. God has not abandoned us or forsaken us. God will not let us be lost in the frightening, crazy, unjust, hard-hearted happenings of the world.

Today I will welcome the Lord. I will take time to listen for God’s voice. I will embody the Lord’s kindness by speaking respectfully to everyone I encounter.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

This is my greeting to you today: grace and peace.

May you feel the presence of Love and Compassion
wherever you are.

Spark of glory

[Jesus prayed, saying, “Holy Father,] I have given them the glory you gave me, so that they may be one, as we are one, I in them and you in me.” John 17:22-23a

We are of God and in God, tiny sparks reflecting God’s glory.

How will I shine God’s glorious love and compassion in the world today?

Peace in and through us

We are in the Presence of God, now, in this moment. May I remember to call on the Holy Spirit to think, live, and speak for and through me to bring the love and peace of God to the world.

[Jesus said to his disciples:] “The Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.”
John 14:25-27
