I urge you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree in what you say, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and in the same purpose.
1 Corinthians 1:10

The mind and heart and will of God is that we all be unified in and by love, mercy, and peace.

Today I will seek the light of unity rather than the darkness of division in all of my interactions. I will follow the invitation of Jesus to follow him on the path of love, even when others challenge me.

Take refuge in the Lord

The LORD is my light and my salvation;
whom should I fear?
The LORD is my life’s refuge;
of whom should I be afraid? Psalm 27:1

We belong to God, who is Love. There is no fear when we are in Love.

Today I will give all of my fears to the Lord. I will take refuge in the Lord’s strength and kindness and trust that all shall be well.

Pray for peace and healing

Jesus took Peter, John, and James and went up the mountain to pray. Luke 9:28b

A mountain of anxiety, distress, dis-ease, and grief fills our world. May I have the courage to go with the Lord up the mountain to pray for peace and healing for all people everywhere.

Today I will remember that prayer puts me in conscious contact with the presence of the Lord.

Lord, lead me on the path of love and goodness. Fill me with your compassion and kindness.
