Dressed up

ESUS MAFA. The poor invited to the feast, from Art in the Christian Tradition, a project of the Vanderbilt Divinity Library, Nashville, TN. [retrieved October 15, 2017].

Here I am at the celebration of God’s kingdom among us. Love has triumphed over death. God’s Word leads us on the way to everlasting  life.

Today I will ask God’s Holy Spirit to help me find the right garment for this celebration. Kindness. Compassion. Mercy. Generosity. Peace. Nonviolence. Welcome. Joy.

[Jesus said,] “The king said to him, ‘My friend, how is it that you came in here without a wedding garment?'”  Matthew 22:12a

Mary, how I wait for your post on Sunday. I always tell my husband, “This is Mary McSweeny day!” 🙂 This spoke to my heart like no other.

Whenever I go to any “function” how I will take the “pains” to make sure I have all the proper attire to wear. From my shoes to my earrings, from my make-up to my hair. How I will make sure it is exactly what the “function” calls for. Be it a wedding, funeral, graduation, dinner, etc…

How I take such “little pain” to make sure my “garment” for the “wedding feast” of God is as “outstanding.” Makes absolutely no sense does it???

Every morning from this day forward I am going to “ask the Holy Spirit to dress me in the garments fitting for my “function” for the day.” Thank you so much. I do not know what I would do without your soul! 🙂 God Bless, SR

I just wanted to stop by Mary and tell you how this practice has been going in my life. Great! Before I begin my day I ask the Holy Spirit to please clothe me in the garment I will need for what this day is going to be requiring of me. I trust Him to do it.

It has brought to me great peace, as it has given to me the rest to know whatever situation arises that day, the Holy Spirit has already given to me the “attire” I need to wear. If all of this makes sense to you?

Been a life changing add-on to my spiritual life and I thank you once again for it. God Bless, SR
