Jesus said to his disciples: “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:20

When we gather in the name of Jesus, we come together in the name of Love. When we gather in the name of Jesus, we soften our hearts and commit to loving God, our neighbors, and ourselves. When we gather in the name of Jesus, we are saying yes to love in all its forms: patience, kindness, humility, forbearance, respect, mercy.

Today I will remember that I owe nothing to anyone except to love each person in the name of Jesus—and I will ask the Holy Spirit to show me an appropriate way to love everyone I encounter.
